Hello Hutton Families,
It’s been great to see your child(ren) back at school and enjoying every minute of it. I know the staff at Hutton feel the same way and are looking forward to learning alongside your children.
However, you may have noticed that our class sizes are a bit larger than usual due to an influx of new students at the end of August/beginning of September, which means we will have another division. We at Hutton understand that adding another division will create some discomfort in the short-term. However, in the long-term, smaller class sizes benefit students. Our goal with the class lists is to adjust as little as needed, but please understand all classes are impacted to some degree as we add a grade 3/4 class. Students will be informed of this change at the end of the day today. Parents will be emailed later today with the child’s class placement. Starting tomorrow, students will be moved to their new class in the morning, if applicable.
Thank you again for your patience and understanding as we work through this process. We know it’s not ideal to do this shuffle after the school year has started, but we feel it’s best for students of Hutton.
